Post Codes Brit DVD, coming soon.

We caught up with Post Codes director Martin Yelland to find out what's happening with his new flick.

Due release date? OUt now! (Buy)

Sections? There will be rider profiles on my mates; Carbis Bay's Mark Baker, Redruth's Tim Brown, Yorkshire's Richard Smith, the 3 Hawaiians who were on our boat trip, St. Ives' Darren Stevens, plus a Travel, Cornwall and Scotland section.

Music? Gallows, Enter Shikari, Dearest Azazel, Hiatus, Delinquent Habits, My American Heart, The Offspring and Rosie & The Goldbug.

Length? About 40 minutes

Who is doing the editing? Johnnie Wells! Of 'Rampage' fame!

Highlights? Hopefully the quality, variety, and humour of the footage! The Hawaiians' section for technical skill, although Tim and Baker weren't far behind them. The interviews give an insight to the DVD and the riders' personalities. Some more than others!

Funny stuff? Plenty of gags, Darren's stag trip in Lanza saw plenty of mischief and nakedness! The emphasis is on quality, fun waves, that the average booger can relate to. We are all working class people, and bodyboard and film for the love of the sport, not to be seen as 'cool'. We hope the DVD will illustrate this.

How much is it going to be? 13 quid.

Where are the premieres due to be? DEFO a TR26 one! Have to see what Christiaan Bailey says when we are nearer to completion.

How tough has it been putting it together and how long has it taken you? It's been a real steep learning curve. First off, we were working with an editor who had no time for us, and it ended up with us pulling out, as enough was enough, after Sumatra we realized nothing was happening (and we had been filming for two years at this point), so we parted company and looked else where. Through my wonderful girlfriend Liz, I met St. Ives legend Johnnie Wells, who was really keen to do the editing. It's hard to make time sometimes to get together and work on it, but so far what Johnnie has done is awesome, we can't thank him enough!!! May 2009 will be the 3rd year of filming, we easily have enough sick footage now, it's just a case of having the time with Johnnie to put it into sections. Christiaan Bailey is also involved, hopefully helping us to screen it. We have a helmet cam which has been testing at times, giving Matt Reed some excellent results on the south coast, but since then we have had problems with it, which we can hopefully rectify before the final edit and get some more barrel shots.

Will there be a Post codes 2? Maybe. I am definitely keeping all my filming equipment, so we shall see what happens. A few of us are keen to document a lesser known Atlantic island which we have had a small taste of, as well as some top secret UK spots that very few (if any) other people outside our friendship group know about. If there is a next time, we will keep it hush hush 'til we are fully ready. I'm been getting into taking stills more than filming lately, having bought a great housing from Erik at Delmar Housings, San Diego.
