 Quiberon scouting trip
In advance of the Anglo French Challenge in November Rich Hall recently checked out some of the likely competition venues on the Quiberon peninsula in South Brittany. Rich said “I didn’t get across to Belle Isle, but had some great sessions at Port Bara and Port Rhu on the Côte Sauvage; as well as Mane Guen in Penthievre. Bara is a beach break that breaks both left and right; Rhu is a reef setup that has a great right that breaks into the channel, but the left can close out a bit too quickly at high tide. Bara and Rhu are right next to each other, and the first day we were there it was overhead; both were barrelling their nuts off. The next 2 days saw great conditions as well (as the photo testifies) with 3-4 foot swells. Both breaks produce barrels really easily and Rhu especially has a rampy end sections”
If the French lads choose these twin breaks for the comp it could be epic.

 Bodyboard Coaching Weekend Provides Perfect Start to the Season.
This weekend saw the first of a series of bodyboard coaching weekends sponsored by ThreeSixty Magazine and NMD Bodyboards at Rob Barber’s Bodyboarding School in Newquay. The tropical sunny weather and excellent clean waves offered perfect conditions for the 15 riders of all ages and abilities to pick up new skills and advance their riding in a laid-back environment.
