Growing up in St Ives life was relatively simple for me. Flanked by beaches and waves of all shapes and sizes, the town nurtures an eclectic crew of surfers who soon showed me the ropes.
With the support of my friends, I discovered a natural comfort amongst the elements, and began to feel most at home in waves of consequence. Firstly during winter storm swells battering the coastlines of home, and then beyond into trips overseas.
At 24 I'm now finally beginning to live my dream as a professional freesurfer travelling the world looking for the heaviest waves I can find and trying to ride them. Fergal is pushing me more than anyone else in the water so to be working on this film together is positive to say the very least!
We both feel ready and appreciative of the chance to make this count, and neither of us is going to let the opportunity slip without giving it 110%.
