Orca has been publishing watersports magazines since 1992 when the first edition of ThreeSixty bodyboard magazine rolled off the presses. Two years later Carve magazine was launched; within a couple of years it was the UK’s best selling surfing title. SurfGirl magazine was the next addition to the Orca stable in 2003, and Irish surfing magazine Tonnta (an Irish-Anglo joint venture) was launched in 2008.
In the last few years Orca has branched out and begun publishing books, distributing them around the world via a network of international distributors. Among the range are guide books like Surf Travel and The Bodyboard Travel Guide, history books like The Surfing Tribe and the forthcoming Born To Boogie, and cookery books like The Surf Café Cookbook.
The Orca team are all dedicated surfers and/or bodyboarders. Always have been, always will be. Our writers, photographers and contributors share that passion for surfing and love for the ocean. And whether we’re producing books, magazines or digital content, our mission statement is pretty simple: to inform, to entertain, and to keep our readers stoked.
We hope you like our books. Let us know what you think about them, we truly value your feedback.
Keep reading and stay stoked.
