The Progression Coaching Clinic weekend is tailored and personalised to suit your individual needs. Whether you’re a beginner surfer new to the sport, who can stand on a board but is ‘stuck in the whitewater’ or an advanced surfer who is looking to sharpen their surfing, tighten their turns and put their surfing on a rail, this course aims to take your surfing up a notch in a fun, laid-back environment.

The weekend includes:
• 4 in-water coaching sessions with 2009 English Surfing Champion Johnny Fryer
• Video analysis and action review
• DVD of yourself in action
• A coach’s report of personal improvements to work towards (based on your weekend performance)
• A well-stuffed CARVE goodie bag
• Individual prizes for the most improved riders.
• A chance to appear in the report (if you like!) in the November issue of CARVE Magazine.
• Coaching held at the Rip Curl ESF Surf School, Newquay
• Apres surf barbecue and chill-out evening (optional, £10 extra)
• All for £129

Itinerary (subject to change due to conditions)
Saturday:
9.30am Check in/enrolment at the School
10am Get changed
10.15am Split into groups
10.30am Beach coaching begins
12.15pm Lesson ends
12.25pm Get changed, break for lunch and catch your breath back!
2pm Get kitted up, return to the beach
2.15pm Video analysis session begins
4.20pm Get changed at surf school, followed by video footage analysis
5.15pm Bodyboard DVD Premiere and review
6pm Finish coaching for day.

6.30 pm Optional evening meal

Sunday:
10am Get kitted up
10.30am Beach coaching begins
12.50pm Lesson ends, break for lunch
2.30pm Get kitted up, short beach coaching session before specific moves are practised for the final time
4.30pm Lesson ends, return to the surf school
4.50pm Goodie bags given out and fun award ceremony held
5.15pm Weekend ends

Accommodation
If you would like two nights accommodation as well, there are two options (or you can find your own accom, that’s cool) total package price will be:

Option 1, Carnmarth Hotel; £209
Two nights accommodation at the Carnmarth Hotel:
• Ideally situated overlooking Fistral beach, next door to the surf school, five minutes from the town centre.
• Full Cornish breakfast.
• C-Bar, newly refurbished with fantastic views from the south-facing terrace over Fistral Beach, perfect for a sundowner.

Option 2, Berties Lodge; £165
Two nights accommodation at Berties Lodge:
• Ideally situated overlooking the Newquay Bay beaches in the centre of town, ten minutes walk to the surf school
• Surf Lodge accommodation with bunk beds, each room en-suite
• A wet-room for storage of wetsuits
• Free entry into the biggest nightclub in Newquay (Berties)
• Discount in Senior Dicks Mexican and Buzios restaurants
