Pierre Louis Costes is a friend of this publishing house, he’s tight with Mickatron and crew in Ireland, he charges and his bird’s a Playboy model. Not only that he’s recently picked up a sponno deal with Nike 6.0. This pipe wipeout, and it is a beauty, must be karma realigning things a little. It’s not quite as brutal as the legendary Carol Philip lip axing at Pipe that was on Hawaii 94 that blew her clean into the sky but it’s close… Note the over the falls after the axing. Harsh.
The Quik Pro’s trundling along quite nicely; Rd2 is done and dusted. Now it gets interesting with Rd3- key heats to watch out for (if you can stay awake, and if it’s on tonight) are the megastar v rookie dust-ups between Taj and Owen Wright & Parko and Dusty Payne. So the ASP World Tour’s rumbled into life for another year on the Goldie. The waves weren’t amazing, the weathers not that nice but there’s still some sick surfing. A lay day was called today due to the tsunami warning in force (not sure if an events been on hold for that ever before??) Ironically the surfs been pretty good…
Okay this absolutely nothing to do with surfing. But it is a perfect way to wind down for five-minutes on a Friday afternoon. Hit the full-screen option and turn the sound up. Feel better now dontcha?
